Since 1886, We at Eddington Presbyterian Church have considered ourselves "The Friendly Place to Worship". EPC is located in Bensalem which is just northeast of Philadelphia, PA. The Church is located on Bristol Pike, 1/2 mile north of Street Road. From I-95, get off at the Street Road exit and turn to the west. Take the ramp to Route 13 (it comes up quickly!) and turn left at the light at the end of the ramp. Go 1/2 mile and look for the Church on the left with the stone steeple
At Eddington, we offer two different worship opportunities. At 9:00 we have Contemporary Worship, which is led by The Eddington Praise Band. Their wide range of talent allows them to play the latest in contemporary Christian music, including a number original songs written by members of the band. Parents who worship at this time are encouraged to bring their children with them. Following the time of the Children's Message, our children leave the sanctuary and go to rehearsal for the Children's Choir.
At 11:00 is our Traditonal Worship service, led by our Pastor, the Reverend George "Skip" Brecht. (See Bio in "Pastor's Page.") Also in worship leadership is Choir Director Adrienne Root, and several other musicians filling in at the console of the "Spicer Organ." The sanctuary organ was recently named in memory of William Spicer, our organist of over 50 years(!), who passed away in February of this year.
Sunday School for all ages is offered at 10:15. Eddington also has two Youth Groups, one for 2nd through 6th grades, which meets Tuesdays at 5:30, and a combined Jr and Sr High school group, which meets Sundays at 7:00pm. In July we sponsor Vacation Bible School which is open to all youth in the community.
